Ordering Records

Births & Deaths:

Birth records (after 1900) and death records (after 1908) can be ordered online from the MN Department of Health Office of Vital Records. Official copies of records are $26.

Unofficial birth records and birth records prior to 1900 can be purchased from the Minnesota Historical Society for $9.

Birth and death records, including those prior to 1908, can also be requested in person or by mail from the Wabasha County Recorder.

Marriage

Anyone can look up marriage records in Minnesota Official Marriage System (MOMS), a searchable database of marriage certificates.

Copies of certificates of marriage are available from the county that issued the marriage license. For Wabasha County marriage certificates, contact the Wabasha County Recorder.
