I am always pleased to receive cemetery information to post on the Wabasha County, MN website. If you have information to send, please send it to the in the following format, if possible:
Last Name, First Name, Middle, Birthdate, Death date, any information on the tombstone, including "shares a stone with ..."
Please use upper and lower case letters, not all caps. For dates, please use month day, year as the format.
For example:
Smith, Frederick I., Jul. 25, 1880 - Mar. 2, 1937, husband of Mary Elizabeth,
shares stone with Mary Elizabeth
Smith, Mary Elizabeth, Mar. 1, 1881 - Sep. 2, 1940, wife of Frederick I., shares stone with Frederick I.
Pictures:
If possible, name the pictures in all lower case letters. Include the middle initial,
if known. Put the last name first. This helps me match the picture with the names.
For example: smithfredi.jpg
If Fred and Mary share a stone, then name it with both names: smithfredimarye.jpg
Please do not send just pictures without also sending the names and information on the tombstone. It is very difficult and very time consuming to go through each tombstone picture and try to read names and dates.
Don't forget to include the name of the cemetery, township and the county in the email. You'd be surprised how many cemeteries have the same names!
